About The Author

Sharon Baker is an R.N., Reiki Master/Teacher and author of “Healing with Hands, Miracles, Inspiration and Science” Reiki and other related energy therapies.” She has had over 25 years experience in the traditional medical field and began exploring alternative holistic methods of healing in the late 1980’s.

She was on the board of Michigan Holistic Nurses Association for 5 years. She continues to update her knowledge and skills through a variety of classes and workshops such as Quantum Healing, New Science-Anti-Aging Medicine, Shamballa, Pain Reduction through Acupuncture, Therapeutic Yoga, and Guided Imagery for
Professionals. Energy therapies education: Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Reflexology, Cranio-Sacral, Polarity and Quantum Touch.

She has been a speaker at a variety of locations including Wayne State University (Detroit), St. Johns Hospital(Nat’l Nurses Week), Providence Hospital, Family Education of Michigan, Unity Church of
Pontiac, and Center of Light Spirituality Center in Oxford. She recently did a book sign in Billings, Montana and met with many people from all walks of life to discuss changing trends toward holism in the Midwest.

Presently she teaches Reiki at Mott Community College and maintains a private practice. She has produced a second print to expand her book which includes women’s survival in domestic violence, chronic depression and healing horses.

Recently, Michigan State University has purchased signed copies of both her editions for their specialties library of holistic healing.

REIKI SESSIONS ARE GOOD FOR SIMPLE STRESS RELIEF, RELAXATION AND WELL BEING OR MEDICAL ISSUES. THE RECIPIENT REMAINS FULLY CLOTHED WHILE LYING ON A MASSAGE TABLE.

Clients report pain relief, wound healing, increased immunity, stress relief and feelings of greater well being.
